NCTM Parent Resource

The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics has a great parent resource webpage.  The webpage has links for homework help, how to help your child succeed, how math is taught in schools and how family impacts student performance.  Each link has a variety of resources that can be helpful to parents.  The resources have great information that can be very useful to help parents and students. I would use this link in my classroom on a monthly newsletter to send home to parents.  I would also give this link to parents who want to be more involved in their student's academics.

Education Place for Students

Education Place for Students is a website filled with brain teasers, data collection, test-taking strategies, extra practice and other resources.  The website is for student use and it is very user friendly.  I like this website because students can access it from school, or from home (if they have access to a computer).  I would use this website in my classroom for students who need assistance with test-taking strategies or extra practice.

Teaching Resources for K-5

Teaching Resources K-5 is a great website that includes resources, games and hands-on activities that are all aligned with the common core standards.  I will use many of the resources from this site to enhance lessons for my students.  I like this site because the resources are broken down into categories so it is easy to pick a category and research the material to decide what would be best for my students.
